Items Accepted for Scrap Metal Recycling

If it's metal, chances are we can recycle it. See the list below for common household items you can bring to R.S. Davis Recycling. Remember, no amount of scrap metal is too small. Every piece you recycle with us is one less piece in the landfill.

  • Bathtubs and sinks (cast iron only)

  • Clean cast machinery or parts

  • Electrical wire
  • Exercise equipment
  • Extension cords
  • Kitchen ovens
  • Metal cabinets and shelves
  • Metal lawn chairs
  • Metal swing sets
  • Microwaves and toasters
  • Nails, screws and tools
  • Pots, pans and silverware
  • Refrigerators and freezers (call for special instructions)
  • Wood burning stoves (fire brick must be removed)
  • Washers and dryers

FREE Electronics Recycling!

We now accept electronics as part of the “Oregon E-Cycles” program. It’s a free and easy way to recycle unwanted electronics regardless of brand, age or working condition. You can bring in up to seven computers (desktop or laptop), monitors or TVs and we’ll make sure they’re recycled in an environmentally responsible way.

Please note: the program cannot accept keyboards, mice, speakers, printers or scanners, but we can take them for a nominal charge. To schedule drop-off for more than seven items, contact Joe or Hank at 503-657-5593.
