History
The R.S. Davis Recycling story began in the mid-1960s when our founder, Richard Davis, first started hauling scrap metal throughout Oregon and Washington. He continued operating out of the Portland area as a metal recycler and portable scrap processor until the early 1980s. That’s when recycling really became a household word. Over the next 15 years, the company grew by acquiring two auto-wrecking yards and expanding into the portable metal bailing business. In November 1996, the company was reorganized into two different corporations, Orient Auto Recycling, Inc. and R.S. Davis Recycling, Inc.
Today, R.S. Davis Recycling is headquartered in a state-of-the-art facility in Clackamas, Oregon and operates two other recycling facilities in Hermiston and Gresham, Oregon.
